According to a new study done in England, if you swirl an energy drink(or vitamin water) in your mouth and then spit it out your workout improves without you actually having to work out any harder.

tin purses and pretty fabric

so i saw a really pretty fabric that looked like what maggie gyllenhall has on, so nice and i've been keeping an eye out for some fabric so i can start making my dress!

i didn't get it though because they said they don't cut fabric in half and the amount that they had was enormous not to mention expensive(9 dollars!) so i'll just have to keep looking.

on another note though, something happens to me whenever i see a tin container at a second hand store - i just start buying. today i found a really pretty bird one and it occurred to me that most of them would make really cute and unique purses - i'm gonna try to make one as soon as i can. and i already have a nice batch i could start with that i've collected over time. i figure i can just use some pretty ribbon for the handles. wouldn't that be cute?

My Dream Internship

Betsey Johnson is a fashion designer best known for her feminine and whimsical designs. many of her designs are considered "over the top" and the prettiest things on earth. seeing as how her dresses retail for around 3 to 5 hundred dollars, i think it's safe to say i will never own one. what i love about betsey johnson is each dress or piece that she makes looks like it has a personality - it's a fun looking personality! they make me want to go find a tea party to crash or some hills to go frolic in!
since right now i'm finding myself with endless stretches of days with nothing on the horizon (summer break) i'm gonna try to make a dress that will resemble something she would make. out of sheer flattery of course (i mean, she knew Edie Sedgwick!!!) because i love the way they look. the designs don't seem too hard, but we'll just see how it goes :]



the stores themselves are also a complete work of art filled with all things vintage and pink everywhere - done by anyone else all that pink would be nauseating but betsey finds just the perfect balance.

my beautiful husband inspired me to get one and i agreed, it actually seems fun. hopefully this'll be filled with fashion tips, interesting articles, and of course thrift store finds from around the area as i'm sure that is now my addiction. above is a picture of two vintage bluebirds that i think are really cute and just make me want to go out and have a picnic under the sun. enjoy!
